The Wall

The wall on the south side of the old U of the Blues Garland store received a face lift.  Art students from Garland High School painted a Blues mural on the wall.  The students from Mrs. Hensleigh's A2 Pre IB Art and Design class came up with many ideas for the project and then worked them into the final drawing.  There are 15 students involved with this project.  They worked on the wall in sections.  Ramon, David, Derek, KK and Max worked on the left side of the wall.  On the middle section of the wall we had Krystina, Dillon, Ashley, Lina and Liza.  And Kevin, Shale, Alicia, Yoon, and Sarah worked on the right side of the wall.

Below you will find The Wall of Blues in different stages of completion.

They have started laying out the wall.  I will update this page as the class makes progress on The Wall of Blues.

More work on the wall.  The project is taking shape and the students are doing a great job on The Wall of Blues.

The students have begun painting the wall.  The Wall of Blues is taking shape.

The students are hard at work.  With only the class period to work with they have to setup, work on the wall, then pack up and head back to school.

The wall is now complete.  The students did a great job on all parts of the wall.  It is a new attraction in Garland.
